The humble beginnings saw Joseph and his wife Josephine welcoming weary travelers and fishermen into their Bay Lake home, offering them a warm, home-cooked meal. This modest start laid the foundation for what is now recognized as Ruttger’s Bay Lake Resort, a cherished destination for families for more than a century. Today, Ruttger’s boasts a comprehensive lodge equipped with both indoor and outdoor pools, two distinguished dining establishments, Jack’s 18, a champi onship 18-hole golf course, as well as tennis and pickleball courts.
